My Golden Retriever puppy got this toy when I first got her and loves it. She has chewed and chewed on it for about 9 months before it's finally ready to be thrown away. It seems to have lasted WAY longer than most toys (if it's soft it lasts about two days with her, if that and if it's a hard toy it's usually a week). When there were several toys around she would always go get "the star." Careful towards the end of it's life when the plastic has been gnawed pretty good because, in my case at least, your dog will start puling off chunks of it and chewing it.
